MICK McCarthy believes Ryan Manning’s inclusion in his initial 39-man Republic of Ireland squad for an upcoming double-header is “just reward” for his performances at QPR.
The versatile 23-yearold was a new name in McCarthy’s squad for a friendly against New Zealand and Euro 2020 qualifier against Denmark.
He may yet be cut, but boss McCarthy said: “He’s into the initial squad.
“He’s been doing well at QPR, I’ve watched him a couple of times and he’s gone from the centre of midfield to left wing-back.
