LONG GLAD TO STAY AT OXFORD

SAM LONG is excited about the future at Oxford after continuing his long association with the club.
The 24-year-old defender, who joined United when he was eight, has signed a new one-year deal.
Long said: “I’m really happy to have signed again.
“I have been here a long time now and think the club is moving in the right direction; I want to be part of that.”
Oxford head coach Karl Robinson said: “Sam is an outstanding young man.
“He is a natural leader and a terrific character around the place as well as on the pitch.”
