BLACKPOOL manager Terry McPhillips hopes their January business has given the squad the depth it needs to launch a play-off charge.
The Seasiders are within striking distance of League One’s top six.
“The five lads we’ve brought in, plus Nick Anderton coming back, strengthens us,” McPhillips said.
“There is real competition now, for sure.”
