LEAGUE One club Scunthorpe have sacked manager Nick Daws.
The Iron were beaten 5-0 by Fleetwood Town in midweek, their second heavy defeat in succession following a 3-0 reverse at Sunderland, and have won only once in their first five games of the season.
Daws’ assistant, former Scunthorpe full-back Andy Dawson, was placed in caretaker charge for yesterday’s home game against Barnsley.
