MITCHELL READY FOR BIG TESTS

KARL Robinson hopes new Oxford keeper Jonathan Mitchell can provide a calm head in some tough upcoming assignments.
The 23-year-old, an England youth international, has joined the U’s on loan from Derby until January following an injury to Simon Eastwood. Oxford boss Robinson said: “He’s a good goalkeeper and will fit in perfectly. We have Scott Shearer, who is great around the place and did well on Saturday, and we have Jack Stevens, who is really promising.
“But when you have to go to places like Portsmouth and Sunderland, you need experience.”
