GRANT McCann claims it was Joe Ward’s performances against Peterborough that convinced him the winger was a great fit for Posh.
Ward, 22, grabbed the 84th-minute equaliser for National League Woking that took Peterborough to an FA Cup second round replay last month.
After seven goals in 31 games this term, he has now signed a two-and-ahalf- year contract at London Road for an undisclosed fee.
“He brings pace, energy and can go past people both ways,” said Posh boss McCann.
“He was excellent against us in the FA Cup.”
