PROSSER READY TO RETURN WITH U’S

PUTTING his boots on for the first time in a year was a relief more than anything for Luke Prosser.
The 29-year-old defender has had two operations in the last 12 months following a serious knee injury sustained last season.
But Prosser is now back in training with Colchester’s under-23s and is looking forwards.
“I’m back on the grass and, hopefully, there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
“I’ve put my boots on for the first time in a long time and it feels good,” he said.
