SCUNTHORPE will be without Sam Mantom for three to four weeks after it was confirmed the midfielder has a ‘bone density’ problem in his hip joint.
The 25-year-old, who last played against Rotherham earlier this month, saw a specialist over his niggling injury, which was originally thought to be a groin issue, but the Iron are clearer now on the former Walsall player’s situation. “We’ve had a diagnosis and we know what the issue is,” said Scunthorpe manager Graham Alexander.
