RIPLEY’S RETURN UNLIKELY

OLDHAM owner Simon Corney believes it will be tough to keep talented Middlesbrough loanee Connor Ripley at the club next season.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper has been immense as the Latics secured league safety and can equal the club’s all-time clean sheets record for a season (19) by shutting out AFC Wimbledon this afternoon.
Corney said: “One player who probably will not be here next year is Connor.
“Certainly in my time here we have never had a better goalkeeper and he would be a massive loss for us next season.”
