RECALL ‘IS BEST’ FOR STOTT, 19

JOHN Sheridan says the best place for teenage defender Jamie Stott’s continued development is with the first-team at Oldham Athletic.
Sheridan has moved to recall Stott, 19, from his loan spell with nearby National League North side Curzon Ashton.
“You get a lot from having better players around you, whispering things to you on the pitch,” said the Oldham manager.
“For me, that’s how you learn the game. As a kid, training with the firstteam, you feel a million dollars.
“Plus, it gets that nervousness out of you.”
