Upbeat boss Phil Parkinson hailed striker Jay Rodriguez after his winner against Stockport County saw Wrexham climb back into the League One automatic promotion places.
The 35-year-old notched his first goal for the Red Dragons, scoring at the second attempt after his penalty had been saved by Corey Addai.
“Jay has had a long period of coming off the bench at Burnley and we can sense he’s getting fitter all the time,” said Parkinson.
“He gives us a lot.
“I felt he was looking really sharp.”
