LEAGUE TWO

DONCASTER Rovers have taken steps to plan for the future by exercising options to extend the contracts of midfielder George Broadbent and defender Jack Senior for a further year.

Both players were due to reach the end of their deals at the end of the season but options to add a further 12 months have been activated, extending their stays until at least the summer of 2026.

Broadbent, 24, joined Rovers from Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee in June 2023 and has made 79 appearances so far, scoring twice.

Senior, 28, arrived from FC Halifax in the same month as Broadbent. He has made 49 appearances for Rovers.

Manager Grant McCann said: “Jack and George are very important players for us.

“We believe their characteristics match everything we love in a player and it was a no-brainer to keep them both here for next season.”
