SACKED: Narcis Pelach

STOKE City sporting director Jon Walters has carried the can for Narcis Pelach’s short-lived managerial reign – and vowed to get the next appointment right.
Spaniard Pelach, 36, replaced Steven Schumacher in mid-September, but won only three of his 19 games in charge. The Potters lie 19th in the Championship following their 2-0 defeat at home against Leeds on Boxing Day, which turned out to Pelach’s last match at the helm before he was axed.
