LEAGUES ONE AND TWO BID TO CUT LOSSES

REPRESENTATIVES from Leagues One and Two have agreed amendments to Salary Cost Management Protocol (SCMP) rules in a bid to stem financial losses.
SCMP is the Financial Fair Play framework in place for clubs in the EFL’s bottom two divisions and sets out the percentage of a club’s turnover that can be spent on player-related expenditure. In League One it is set at 60 per cent and at League Two it is 50 per cent.
