INFLUENTIAL: Nigel Clough

SHAUN Barker says “remarkable” Nigel Clough does not get the credit he deserves after racking up an incredible 1,497 games in management.
Now 58, Clough began his career as player-manager at Burton in 1998, and led the Brewers from the Southern League to the Championship across two separate spells.
He also spent four-anda-half years at Derby and 18 months at Sheffield United, where his team reached the semi-finals of both domestic cups as a League One side.
