GILLINGHAM manager Mark Bonner says he will miss leaning on the experience of “brilliant” mentor Kenny Jackett.
Jackett, 62, had been the League Two side’s director of football since January 2023, but stepped down this week on medical grounds.
A veteran of almost 1,000 games in EFL management, the former Watford defender won promotions with Swansea, Millwall and Wolves, and clinched his second EFL Trophy in 2019 during a successful four-year stint at Portsmouth.
