STAYING PUT: Dan Sweeney has impressed at the back for Stevenage

MANAGER Steve Evans has expressed his delight that the ‘outstanding’ Dan Sweeney has extended his contract with the club.
The 29-year-old centre-back joined Boro in the summer of 2022 and played a key role in last season’s promotion to League One as runners-up.
In total, the former Barnet and Forest Green Rovers man made 55 appearances last term. Heading into the weekend, he had featured 19 times this season.
