RED-FACED Barnsley have apologised after being kicked out of the FA Cup for fielding an ineligible player.
The Tykes ran out 3-0 winners in their first round replay at Isthmian Premier outfit Horsham.
However, FA rules state that only players who are eligible for the initial tie can feature in a replay.
Forward Aiden Marsh, who started in the replay, was on loan at York City when the first game took place.
