What’s in The Football League Paper (20/08/23)

The season is well and truly in full swing, and in addition to all of this weekend’s action we will be assessing the winners and losers in the campaign so far in The Football League Paper this Sunday.

There’s still a bit of time left in the transfer window, and while Southampton pile up the money as their summer exodus continues, our resident expert Chris Dunlavy discusses Leeds’ transfer turmoil due to the late-closing window.

From two teams relegated to the Championship at the end of last season, to another who were relegated down to League One for this campaign, manager Shaun Maloney discusses his massive challenge at Wigan Athletic.

From the same division Wycombe boss Matt Bloomfield gives his thoughts on some of the new directives referees are following, and John Lyons on Leyton Orient’s baptism of fire in League One following promotion.

Last but not least, young forward Tyrese Omotoye outlines how he aims to hit the goal trail with Forest Green, and as ever they’ll be plenty more in the way of news, views and drama to be found in this Sunday’s FLP.
