Tom Lees and Rob Atkinson Headed to Bristol City?

Tom Lees

Thomas James Lees graduated from Leeds United’s youth academy in 2009 after playing with the club since he was eight. After a loan spell with Accrington Stanley followed by another one at Bury the next year, he started as a first-team choice with Leeds in the 2011-2012 season, performing great and winning the Leeds United Young Player of the Year award at the end of it. He continued to play with the club in a total of over 120 matches in three full seasons before moving on to Sheffield Wednesday in the summer of 2014.

Lees ended his last season in Sheffield with an injury that sidelined him for the last two games of the season. It was then when he announced that he won’t be back on the turf with the Owls as his contract expired at the end of the season.

Rob Atkinson

Robert Philip Atkinson spent much of his younger years in France, playing at the AS Cannes youth academy. Upon graduating, he signed with Basingstoke Town where he made 30 league appearances and scored twice.

In September 2017, he joined Fulham after a trial period with the club, first with the U-23 side, followed by a loan spell at Braintree Town in 2019. Later in the year, he left for Eastleigh where he made two dozen appearances in the National League and made an impression. At the beginning of last year, he signed a professional contract with Oxford United that he, once again, started with a loan spell – with Eastleigh, where he played in four league games before being recalled.
