I PLAYED with Andy Whing at Brighton and Coventry, and the new Barrow manager is a great person to be around.
He’s a really nice, kind-natured guy with old school values -by which I mean that if there’s a problem in the dressing room, he’d rather sort it out by going down the pub than calling everyone into a meeting.
But don’t let that fool you into thinking he can’t make the tough decisions, or that he doesn’t possess great knowledge and insight into the game.
