DUFFY AVOIDS BAN, BUT IS FINED FOR BETS

LINCOLN midfielder Dylan Duffy has escaped a ban after admitting to multiple breaches of anti- betting rules.
The 21-year-old, who joined from University College Dublin in early 2023, was charged with having ‘placed, instructed, permitted, caused or enabled’ bets on 30 matches between August 2023 and April 2024.
Duffy claimed to have no knowledge of the bets, which were placed by his brother Daniel using a Paddy Power account in Dylan’s name. However, he did admit to having a separate account in Daniel’s name with Boyle-sports.
