BLACKBURN’S Andi Weimann couldn’t hide his delight at bagging the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month award for August – and reckons it’s helped him win over the supporters.
The 33-year-old Austrian joined Rovers this summer and quickly endeared himself to the fanbase by scoring a stunning equaliser in the 1-1 derby draw against Burnley.
The attacking midfielder cracked a superb 25-yard strike across goal into the top corner to earn his side a valuable point.
