Is he the massive name or exciting up-and-comer that some supporters want? No, but he’s low risk, low maintenance and you know what you’re getting – very much like myself and Alex Neil.
The exciting appointment would have been someone like Scott Lindsey, who has done a remarkable job at Crawley and offers the sort of high-risk, entertaining football that fans wanted from Ryan Lowe.
