INTERIM boss Martin Devaney admits he has sympathy for axed Barnsley manager Neill Collins.
After leading the Tykes all season, Collins, 40, was sacked on Monday with just one game of the regular season left. Barnsley were fifth in the League One table but in danger of missing out on the play-offs after a fivematch winless run. The Reds’ decision caused shockwaves, though they did reach the play-offs with a 1-1 home draw against Northampton yesterday and will now face Bolton in the semi-finals.
