Hatters and Dragons head for League One

Jubilant Stockport County and Wrexham are popping the Champagne corks after sealing promotion to League One.

The top-of-the-table Hatters eased to a 2-0 home win against Morecambe with goals from Tanto Olaofe and Fraser Horsfall, while second-placed Wrexham thrashed bottom side Forest Green 6-0.

Prolific marksman Paul Mullin led the way with a double for the Red Dragons, who clinched back-to-back promotions.

Stockport boss Dave Challinor said: “It feels great to get the promotion and it’s fully deserved for the hard work everyone at the club has put in.’’

Wrexham boss Phil Parksinson said: “I’m immensely proud of the lads today.”
