WREXHAM owe celebrity owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney nearly £9m according to accounts this week.
The Red Dragons also lost £5m in the process of winning promotion from the National League last season.
However, turnover doubled to £10.5m and the club insist that current and future revenues mean the club will be self-sustaining going forward.
“The amount owed to The R.R. McReynolds Company, LLC at the year-end was £8.977m (2022: £3.714m),” said a statement.
