Friday’s match at the Highbury Stadium sees two relegation candidates play each other, as 23rd-ranked Fleetwood Town host 22nd-placed Cheltenham Town.

Fleetwood have picked up 34 points from their first 34 League One games, with seven wins and 13 draws.

That is one point less than the Robins have collected, having won nine and drawn eight.

Fleetwood are in mixed form in League One, with one win and five draws from their last six games.

With no wins and three draws over that period, Cheltenham’s form is worse – they have taken three points from 18, compared to Fleetwood Town’s eight.

In the last five years, Fleetwood and Cheltenham have played each other on five occasions. They won two each, and they drew once.

On average, the Cod Army scored 1.0 goal and the Robins 1.0 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on October 3, when Fleetwood won 2-0 away.

With 30 goals in 37 games so far this season, Cheltenham Town are the league’s second-lowest scorers with 0.8 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 50 goals at a rate of 1.4 per game.

The Cod Army are also below average scorers, with 1.1 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.3. They have conceded 1.6 goals per game.

Fleetwood’s last match was on March 16, a 1-1 draw against Charlton Athletic, with Ryan Graydon getting the goal for the Cod Army.

Cheltenham drew 0-0 with Barnsley last time out, also on March 16.
