AFC Wimbledon host Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday at the Cherry Red Records Stadium in League Two.

In their last league match, on February 24, Wimbledon lost to Doncaster Rovers 1-0 away.

Milton Keynes won, 3-0 at home against Newport County, with Alex Gilbey, Daniel Kemp and Jack Payne on the scoresheet.

With 55 goals in 34 games so far this season, Milton Keynes are scoring more than average in the league with 1.6 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 44 goals at a rate of 1.3 per game.

Wimbledon, meanwhile, are below average scorers, with 1.4 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.5. They have conceded 1.1 goals per game.

In the last 10 years, Wimbledon and Milton Keynes have played each other on 13 occasions. Wimbledon won two of them, Milton Keynes seven, and they drew four times.

On average, AFC Wimbledon scored 0.9 goals and Milton Keynes Dons 1.5 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on January 23, when Milton Keynes won 3-1 at home.

In Alex Bass, AFC Wimbledon can rely on one of the league’s safest pair of hands. He has kept 11 clean sheets in his 34 appearances this season, and only two other ‘keepers – Stockport County’s Ben Hinchiffe and Mansfield Town’s Christy Pym – have been able to prevent the opposition scoring on more occasions in League Two.

In Milton Keynes Dons’ net, Craig MacGillivray has six clean sheets in 24 games.

The away side are fifth in the table after 34 games, of which they have won 17 and drawn seven, earning 58 points.

The hosts are eight places behind Milton Keynes in 13th, with 12 wins and 11 draws putting them on 47 points.

Wimbledon are in disappointing form in League Two, with one win and two draws from their last six games.

With three wins and a draw over that period, Milton Keynes’s form is better – they have taken 10 points from 18, compared to Wimbledon’s five.
