Match Preview: Exeter City v Fleetwood Town (Saturday, 3pm)

Fleetwood Town travel to Exeter City on Saturday in League One.

The visitors come into the game on the back of a defeat in their last match, having lost to Barnsley 2-1 at home, with a goal from Mohammed Bosun Lawal.

Exeter also lost their last match, 1-0 against Lincoln City.

Fleetwood are 23rd in the table after 33 games, of which they have won six and drawn eight, earning 26 points.

Exeter are eight places ahead of Town in 15th, with 11 wins and six draws putting them on 39 points.

With 25 goals in 34 games so far this season, City are the league’s second-lowest scorers with 0.7 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 47 goals at a rate of 1.4 per game.

The Cod Army are also below average scorers, with 1.0 goal per game, compared to a league average of 1.3. They have conceded 1.7 goals per game.

In the last three years, Exeter and Fleetwood have played each other on three occasions. They won one each, and they drew once.

Their last meeting was on November 11, when Fleetwood won 3-0 at home.
