It's not proving an easy second season in the Football League for Sutton United, but manager Matt Gray is confident they will overcome a ‘bump in the road’ and keep progressing.
Hit by a string of injuries to key men, the U’s have struggled to show the same consistency and form they displayed over the last two memorable campaigns.
In 2020-21, Gray led unheralded Sutton to a surprise National League title and a place in the Football League for the first time in their history.
