‘Don’t blow chance to save game we all love’

UNITED: Some of the Fair Game clubs

Clubs' coalition Fair Game have expressed their concern that the government may shelve plans to introduce an independent regulator in English football.
A white paper had been planned for this autumn, but new Prime Minister Liz Truss’s administration would reportedly prefer to avoid legislation.
They could give the game a fixed deadline to put forward an alternative.
The previous government, under Boris Johnson, had given their formal support to the strategic recommendations set out in the fanled review published last November.
