CHELTENHAM Town defender Matty Blair has been forced to retire through injury at the age of 33.
Blair made 44 appearances for the Robins last season, but was troubled by knee problems throughout pre-season and has not played since a friendly against Cardiff in mid-July.
“I’ve made this decision due to a lack of options really,” said Blair. “It’s a knee injury that has persisted since last season.
