MOWBRAY IS THE CAT WHO HAS THE CREAM

AFTER watching his Sunderland side rip through Rotherham on Wednesday night, new boss Tony Mowbray may well be thinking that he hasn’t landed a bad gig.
Thanks to Alex Neil’s decision to jump ship to Stoke, Mowbray has inherited a team in buoyant mood following promotion last term and supporters who are delighted their team is back in the second tier.
Their display in midweek will have shown him at least two things. Firstly, he has a striker in Ross Stewart who can tuck away chances in the Championship like he did in League One.
