First game you watched live?
Liverpool v Aston Villa at Anfield, when I was about three or four. I was in the lower Anfield Road end with my uncle, who took me most weeks.
They used to be sponsored by Crown Paints, and before every game they’d put this big six-foot high paint tin on the centre spot. For some reason, that’s what I remember most vividly.
