Leam leads the way as Latics shine
IT’S been a tough last couple of years for Wigan Athletic, so not many would begrudge the Latics their League One title joy yesterday.
Their 3-0 victory at Shrewsbury brought the curtain down on a brilliant campaign for Leam Richardson’s men, and it will have felt all the sweeter to those who have witnessed the club’s darker days of recent times.
The club entered administration in July 2020 and, despite a spirited fight on the pitch, were ultimately relegated from the Championship.
