MIDFIELDER Callum Ainley has insisted Crewe were right to keep faith with manager David Artell until the club’s League One fate was sealed.
The Railwaymen became the first EFL side to suffer relegation this season when they lost 2-0 at fellow strugglers Doncaster last week. Artell was dismissed two days later but not one of the bosses who kicked off the campaign at the five clubs directly above his team in the table had managed to last that long.
