PADDY Lane was “excited” to be involved with Northern Ireland and hopes to earn more caps. 
The 21-year-old winger, who was only signed by the Cod Army from Non-League Hyde last summer, was on the bench for the Luxembourg clash, then started against Hungary on Tuesday.
Lane, who had scored five goals and provided eight assists for Fleetwood ahead of their game at Crewe, said: “That’s my first taste of international football at the senior level. It makes me excited to have the chance to get more.”
