NEIL EYES UP YOUNG DIAMOND

SUNDERLAND boss Alex Neil was pleased to get a close look at Jack Diamond after he returned to the club to train this week.
The 22-year-old winger is on loan at Harrogate where he had scored ten goals and provided six assists ahead of the clash with Colchester.
Diamond returned to the Academy of Light due to the break in fixtures for internationals and Neil said: “This week gave us a great opportunity to bring him in.
“It’s been great to see him in close quarters. Hopefully he can finish the season well.”
