NEIL PINS HOPES ON ACE BATTH

SUNDERLAND boss Alex Neil hopes Danny Batth is finally approaching full fitness after suffering more than one setback in his recovery from an ankle injury.
The 31-year-old defender has been restricted to only a handful of games since joining the Black Cats from Stoke in January, but Neil believes he could be back in the reckoning soon.
“It has been a slow burner,” said Neil.
“It’s not anything severe and hopefully over the next week it should start to clear up and we can get him going.”
