U’S FANS CAN HAVE SAY ON POTENTIAL NEW HOME

FANS are being urged to rally behind Oxford United’s push for a new stadium after councillors decided to ask the public.
The U’s have approached landowners Oxfordshire County Council to build a new 18,000-capacity stadium with hotel, retail and conferencing facilities and training ground at Stratfield Brake Sports Ground, Kidlington, five miles north of the city centre, on a 250-year lease.
The League One club’s lease on its current home, the Kassam Stadium, expires in 2026.
