CLIMBING off the foot of the Championship table should have been a cause for smiles for Derby County manager Wayne Rooney and his players yesterday.
Their 2-0 success against Sheffield United, inspired by two-goal Tom Lawrence, made it four wins from the last five games and continued their impressive run of form.
Overcoming a 21-point deficit to move off the bottom is an impressive feat. Indeed, if you added those points to the Rams’ tally, they would be 11th in the table, just seven points off the play-offs.
