IT WAS certainly a strange old night in the FA Cup at Exeter’s St James Park in midweek.
Having made their permitted five subs, Exeter then made another for extra-time and went on to win 3-0 against Bradford. Their joy at making it into round two was shortlived, though, as their error was pointed out to them.
Grecians manager Matt Taylor admitted he ‘should have done more due diligence’, but it appears as though the officials on the night also got caught unawares.
