CHARLTON Athletic stalwart Johnnie Jackson is determined to do everything in his power to land the manager’s job on a permanent basis – and fulfil his ‘ultimate ambition’.
Nigel Adkins was sacked on Thursday following a disastrous start to this season which saw the Addicks slide into the relegation zone.
His former assistant Jackson was quickly appointed caretaker-manager by owner Thomas Sandgaard and will have first crack at becoming the new boss at The Valley.
