SIMON Grayson paid tribute to “unique” Trevor Hemmings after the Preston North End owner died on Monday at the age of 86.
Hemmings, a director at Deepdale in the 1970s, rescued the club from the brink of administration when he purchased a 51 per cent stake in 2010.
“It’s very sad,” said Grayson, who managed Preston from 2013-17 and won promotion from League One in his second season.
