LEAM KEEN TO ADD TO THE LATICS

WIGAN manager Leam Richardson remains concerned that his squad is light on numbers.
Latics edged past Hull in the Carabao Cup after a penalty shoot-out in midweek, and although he has overhauled his squad this summer, Richardson feels he needs more depth.
“We are in the infancy of the season, but we are five, six players short of a squad to compete within a campaign – especially with Covid around,” he said. “That’s why we’ve got to work hard to get to the place where we want to be.”
