FINANCIAL GAP HAS POWER TO CLOSE THE SHOP

MY FEELING, and I have been shot down on this and maybe rightly so, is that the Premier League is now to all intents and purposes a closed shop to maybe just 24 to 26 teams.
This season could mark the first time all three relegated sides are promoted straight back, although I fear this will soon become the norm.
It’s hard to see many sides breaking into the top flight without the riches from being there previously.
