WHEN Wayne Rooney agreed to become the manager of Derby County in November, I thought it was the perfect job for him.
Now, I’m not so sure. The Rams had won one game in 12 going into the weekend and, given their position just above the Championship relegation zone, that’s desperate.
Wayne is an all-time legend for Manchester United and England, but none of that stuff matters now. All that matters is his ability to galvanise that squad and stay up by hook or by crook.
