LIAM McAlinden has had to bide his time in the shadows at Morecambe this season, but is now ready to step into the spotlight to boost the Shrimps’ promotion push.
An injury to Alex Kenyon opened up a rare opportunity for the striker to make his mark from kickoff against his former club Cheltenham last weekend, and a 20th-minute strike proved enough to secure an important 1-0 win against their promotion rivals.
