DARREN’S OFF THE WHISTLE

REFEREE Darren Drysdale was pulled from Southend’s game against Bolton yesterday after being charged with improper conduct by the FA.
He has apologised for locking heads with Ipswich’s Alan Judge during Tuesday’s draw against Northampton, admitting he “did not maintain his composure”.
Drysdale has until March 4 to reply to the charge and was replaced by Declan Bourne for the Southend match.
